West Coast Battle Tails Away from Owls
An early goal from the Aggies dampened the Owls in the 2-0 decision Sunday on the west coast. "I thought we had enough chances in the first half to finish the game," coach Chris Cahill said. "It wasn't our best game overall. NMSU showed us why they were the league winners from last year." Most of the threats came from Aly Bryan and Tianna Rivera as they both secured two shots (on goal) in the first 20 minutes of the half.

A valiant second half effort wasn't enough to overcome the lethal MTSU attack as KSU fell 4-2 at Dean A. Hayes Soccer Field Sunday. "It was a tale of two halves for us" Chris Cahill said. "We didn't play our best half to start and MTSU took advantage. The second half, we put in a grittier performance and clawed our way back but it wasn't enough. It's a lesson to build off of going to next weekend and I know our seniors will lead us through the week to get ready for New Mexico State."

The Owls are unbeaten in five straight games, the longest regular season streak for the Black and Gold since 2017 (7). "It wasn't the result we thought we had with five minutes left but picking up a point on the road is still crucial," head coach Chris Cahill said.
