Kennesaw State travels north to face No. 23 Indiana in Bloomington on Saturday, September 6th, as the Owls continue their 2025 campaign against a ranked Big Ten foe at Memorial Stadium.

Coach’s Take: Head coach Jerry Mack knows his squad faces a tall order. “Indiana is physical on both sides of the ball and they have playmakers everywhere,” Mack said this week. “But our guys are embracing the opportunity to compete on this stage and show what Kennesaw State football is about.”

The Matchup: Kennesaw State (0-1) aims to rebound after a tough opening loss at Wake Forest, while Indiana (1-0) looks to build on an uneven win over Old Dominion. The Hoosiers’ defense is stingy and their ground game, led by transfer Roman Hemby, is formidable. Oddsmakers make Indiana a heavy favorite, but the Owls’ revamped offense under Mack features a handful of dangerous playmakers.

Players to Watch – Kennesaw State:

Dexter Williams II, QB, Dual-threat transfer had 149 yards in opener, can shift momentum.

Gabriel Benyard WR/PR, Explosive receiver (103 yards last week), top target and versatile weapon.

JeRico Washington Jr. DB, All-conference corner anchors secondary against Big Ten passing attack.

   Players to Watch – Indiana:

Fernando Mendoza QB, 193 passing yards in opener, keys fast-paced Hoosier attack.

Roman Hemby RB, Maryland transfer rushed for 111 yards in debut, tough to tackle.

Omar Cooper Jr. WR, Primary target in passing game, expects heavy work vs. KSU.

Kickoff is Saturday at at Noon Eastern time and available on FS1.
