Football Travels to Midweek Matchup with Middle Tennessee
Kennesaw State will play its first Tuesday night game as part of Conference USA when it travels 3.5 hours north to face Middle Tennessee in its second league game of the season. Tuesday's game will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs, despite being separated by just 200 miles. The game marks the 4th nationally televised matchup in KSU’s history.

Kennesaw State Visits MTSU For Midweek C-USA Game
Kennesaw State (0-5, 0-1 CUSA) takes it’s quest for a first win of the season on the road to Middle Tennessee State in Murfreesboro for a strange Tuesday night game staying in the conference on October 15th. The weeknight game does give the Owls an 11 day break. They have a shot in that one with the Blue Raiders (1-5, 0-2 CUSA) playing on five days rest.

The Owls fought valiantly throughout, but were just overmatched. At one point, trailing 21-3, KSU put up 14 unanswered points to pull to within 4 at the half. But, the third quarter saw the Gamecocks match that output and more with 21 in a row of their own to put the game out of reach, doubling the score at 49-17.

Michael Benefield and Qua Ashley combined for 334 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns, but Kennesaw State football dropped a 63-24 decision to Jacksonville State on Friday night in its Conference USA debut at Fifth Third Stadium. In just its fifth game as part of the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), the Owls (0-5, 0-1 CUSA) fought back from a 21-3 deficit.

Owls Begin Conference USA Play At Home Friday Night With Jax State
A new era begins Friday night at Fifth Third Stadium as the Owls host their first ever Conference USA game against a familiar foe in Jacksonville State. The Gamecocks come in at 1-3, fresh off a dominant 44-7 win against Southern Miss where QB Tyler Huff threw for 236 yards and rushed for 77. The Gamecocks had 6 plays of 20 yards or more in that victory.

Kennesaw State hosted UT Martin for Homecoming on Saturday, hoping to get on the winning track after opening their first season in the FBS with three losses. This looked like a winnable game as the only FCS team they face. But, it was clearly the Skyhawks’ game with KSU’s offense only able to get a pair of field goals with all other points coming on a pick six.

Despite forcing three turnovers in the first half, penalties and miscues stymied Kennesaw State football's momentum as it fell 31-10 to San Jose State on Saturday night at CEFCU Stadium. Quarterback Davis Bryson finished with 128 yards passing on 14-of-22 passing to end the game. Linebacker Donelius Johnson led the Owls with six tackles and a tackle for loss.

Owls Drop First Ever FBS Home Game To Ragin’ Cajuns 34-10
The crowd was electric at the beginning of the game setting an all-time attendance record at 11,040 inside Fifth Third Stadium. In KSU’s first ever FBS home game, the scoring was early and often. The early part was the Owls who took the opening drive 74 yards downfield on 16 plays for a 7-0 lead. The Ragin’ Cajuns made some adjustments and stifled them moving forward.

KSU's Comeback Bid Stalls Late, Falling 28-16 to UTSA
With 7:44 left in fourth quarter, Kennesaw State football began its drive trailing by just five points, but a tough-luck turnover stalled its momentum, falling 28-16 to UTSA Saturday at the Alamodome. In his second career start, Davis Bryson finished 14-for-28 for 202 yards and a TD. Carson Kent led all receivers with three catches for 40 yards and a touchdown.
