Six Owls Earn CSC Academic
All-District Honors
Kennesaw State track and field landed six student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday. Kali Terza, Natalie Cummings, Maya Steines and Laysha Tunti made it on the women's side. Jase Hunter and Chinedum Ike earned a spot on the men's team. Jase Hunter competed in six meets in the weight throw, never finishing worse than 7th. Hunter competed in eight meets in the hammer throw.

Cross Named Conference USA Male Track Athlete of the Year
Chance Cross was named Conference USA Male Track Athlete of the Year, the league announced Wednesday. Cross earned Second Team All-American honors with an 11th place finish in the 100m at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last week. He finished his junior season with five of the fastest recorded times in program history in the 100m. He set the wind-aided (10.01 seconds) and non-wind aided (10.09 seconds) school records in the 100m.

Four Owls Set to Participate at USATF U20 Championships
Kennesaw State freshmen Miah Johnson, Rickey Robbins, Kenyatta Bennett and Justin Warner will compete at the USATF U20 Championships Thursday and Friday. The meet will be available to stream on USATF.TV. Johnson will compete in the 3k steeplechase. Robbins will throw in the men's discus. Bennett is set to compete in the high jump. Warner will run in the 800m. Johnson qualified for this event with a personal-best time of 11:19.12 she posted at the Crimson Tide Invitational.

Cross Collects Second Team All-American Honors in 100m
Chance Cross competed on day two of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday at Hayward Field. In the 100m semifinal, Cross ran a time of 10.17 seconds to finish in 11th place. That time ranks fifth in program history. That finish earned him Second Team All-American honors. Cross finished his junior season with five of the fastest record times in program history. "Chance is the fastest man to wear the Owl uniform" said Director of Track and Field Cale McDaniel.
