Collins-Patterson Announces
2026 Softball Schedule
Kennesaw State softball head coach Selena Collins-Patterson revealed the program's 2026 schedule on Thursday, her first leading the Owls. The Black and Gold will face five Power Four teams and seven 2025 NCAA Regional qualifiers this season. KSU begins its campaign in North Carolina at the UNCW Tournament from Feb. 6-8. The first game will be App State at 11 a.m.

Selena Collins-Patterson Named Seventh KSU Softball Head Coach
Selena Collins-Patterson, a decorated athlete and respected coach, has been named the 7th head softball coach in Kennesaw State University history. Collins-Patterson brings more than 22 years of coaching experience across NCAA Division I, high school, travel leagues, and private academies. She currently leads the Marist School softball program.

Macie Howes Secures Spot on Second Team All-CUSA
A steady force behind the plate, junior Macie Howes has been named Second Team All-Conference USA. Over 51 starts of the team's 53 games, she collected 33 hits, including six doubles and three home runs and driving in nine runs. Her disciplined eye at the plate added 16 walks to her stat line, boosting her on-base percentage to .327 while slugging .358.

KSU Announces Leadership Transition in Softball Program
Kennesaw State will not renew the contract of head softball coach Tripp MacKay. MacKay served as head coach for seven seasons, compiling an overall record of 145-198. Under his leadership, the Owls reached a historic milestone in 2021 with their first NCAA Division I Regional win, defeating Auburn 1-0 in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional.
