Late-Game Rally Comes Just Short as Owls Fall to Georgia State in Atlanta
A seventh-inning rally wasn't enough as Kennesaw State softball (4-18) fell to the in-state rival (17-9) Georgia State Panthers, 9-5, at the Bob Heck Softball Complex. Six different Owls recorded a hit in tonight's contest. Macie Howes homered for a second-straight game, her sixth overall. That mark ties a career high for her in a single season, previously doing it in 2024.

Howes Homers for Third-Straight Contest as Owls Take Down Mocs
Macie Howes went yard for a third-straight game as KSU softball flew past Chattanooga, 3-1, at Bailey Park. Leah Jannakos tossed her second complete game of the season, surrendering only four hits and one run to improve to 4-0. Alora Bevily had her 4th multi-hit game with an RBI. The Owls head to College Station for the Texas A&M Invitational.

Howes's Three-RBI Day Lifts Owls Past Miami (OH) in Home Opener
In its 2026 home opener, Kennesaw State softball took down Miami (OH), 4-3. Macie Howes led the way, going 3-for-3 with three RBI. Leah Jannakos pitched a complete game for the first time in her career. Danielle Bailey also had a multi-hit game, recording a double and triple. The win marks the first for head coach Selena Collins-Patterson at Bailey Park.

Owlsl Scoreless In Carolina Classic DH
Kennesaw State softball dropped both of its Power Four contests in the Carolina Classic, falling to Louisville and No. 20/16 South Carolina. The Black and Gold were supposed to play four times this weekend, but two were dropped due to inclement weather. Macie Howes extended her hitting streak to seven to open the season. Former Owl Lexie Shaver made an appearance in the second game as a pinch hitter.

Owls Fall to Georgia Tech in First Midweek of the Season
In a Georgia battle, Georgia Tech (5-2) defeated Kennesaw State softball, 10-2, under the lights. Outfielders Ana Gore and Ava Brooke Strickland both had multi-hit games for the 1-4 Black and Gold. Taylor Daniel made her first start. Former Owl Kenley Hilleary started for the Jackets. Alyssa Willer led Tech’s offense with four hits, two of which were home runs.
