Owls Fall to FGCU in ASUN Semifinals
The Kennesaw State volleyball team fell 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 25-18, 25-11) in the ASUN Conference semifinals during a hard-fought battle on Friday against defending tournament champion FGCU. The Owls closed the season 18-10 overall (10-7 ASUN). "Obviously, these are tough moments when your season ends," said coach Schunzel.

Kennesaw State not only avenged its 2021 ASUN Semifinal loss, the sixth-seeded Owls pulled off a rare 3-0 season sweep as they knocked off third-seed Jacksonville State in a five-set thriller (25-19, 17-25, 25-20, 20-25, 15-10) in the quarterfinal round of the ASUN Volleyball Tournament, held this year at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb.

Johnsen Named ASUN Freshman of the Year, Three Owls Earn All-ASUN
Kennesaw State's Manu Johnsen became the second player in team history to earn ASUN Volleyball Freshman of the Year honors, while she was also one of three players to earn All-ASUN honors as the league office announced its season awards on Wednesday.

Owls Fall to Bisons
Kennesaw State volleyball suffered its second loss against No. 4 Lipscomb on Friday in a 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-15) contest inside Allen Arena in Nashville, Tenn. Lipscomb led the court hitting .407 (46K-13E-81TA) over the Owls' .213 (29K-13E-75TA). The Bisons also recorded 28 digs and 10 aces in a three-set match.

Owls Grounded At Lipscomb
KSU's struggles away from home continued, as the Owls dropped a third straight road match Saturday 3-1 (25-21, 30-32, 14-25, 22-25) at Lipscomb from Allen Arena. The loss dropped KSU to 16-8, and 9-5 in league play, putting the Owls in sixth place with two games left in the regular season. Lipscomb meanwhile improved to 13-12, 10-4 in the ASUN.

Kennesaw State Volleyball hit a rough spot in the opening game of its three-game road swing, dropping a 3-0 (24-26, 24-26, 17-25) contest at Austin Peay in ASUN action Friday night at the Winfield Dunn Center. The loss dropped the Owls out of a tie for second place in the conference, leaving KSU at 16-7 overall, 9-4 in league play.

Kennesaw State University has formally accepted an invitation for membership within Conference USA.
The Owls will start the transition from the (FCS) to the (FBS) following the 2022 football season and officially join Conference USA (C-USA) for all sports on July 1, 2024.
