Humpert Paces Owls at Southern Showcase
Eight members of the Kennesaw State women's cross country team competed at the Southern Showcase at John Hunt Cross Country Running Park on Friday morning. Mayson Humpert guided the Owls in the women's 5k race. Humpert ran a time of 19:10.00 to finish 189th. Kelly Miles recorded a time of 19:14.42 to finish 194th.

Stan Sims XC Opener
23 members of the Kennesaw State men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Stan Sims Cross Country Opener at Allatoona Creek Park on Friday morning. The KSU women and men both took home third place. In the men's four mile run, freshman Bryan Limo posted a time of 19:22.75 to finish fourth and pace the Owls.

Conference USA welcomes KSU as the league’s 10th member with Monday marking their official start in the conference. The Owls compete in 18 sports, 17 of which will compete in CUSA. Only women's lacrosse will remain in the ASUN. “This is a monumental day for Kennesaw State, and we are proud to be members of Conference USA,” said Dir. of Athletics Milton Overton.

Director of Athletics Milton Overton and Cale McDaniel, Director of Track and Field and Cross Country, have reached a contract extension that keeps McDaniel in Kennesaw through 2027. "Coach McDaniel has taken our track and field program to the highest stages with national champions and All-Americans," said Overton.

Roy Griak Invitational
21 members of the Kennesaw State cross country team competed at the Roy Griak Invitational on the Les Bolstad Golf Course Friday. The women placed 11th picking up a pair of Power Five wins over Miami and Cincinnati. The men took home 18th place. Emma Sullivan paced the women in the 6k, posting a time of 21:57.0 to finish 29th.

KSU Track and Field and Cross Country announced the 2023 signing class with 31 women and 14 men. The class is highlighted by multiple state champions, a U20 National Champion and an Adidas Indoor National Champion with athletes from Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Nebraska, New Zealand, New Jersey, Massachusetts and North Carolina.
