KSU Owls Fall 2024 Women's Volleyball Schedule/Results
2024 Record 13-16 (10-8 CUSA) 4th Place
All-Conference Johnson
Manu Johnsen picked up more awards on Wednesday, as she was named to the 2024 CUSA Volleyball All-Conference First Team, the conference office announced on Wednesday. This is the second award in as many weeks for the junior, as she has named to the CUSA All-Academic squad as well. This is the third all-time conference recognition for Johnsen, after picking up first-team honors in the Atlantic Sun as a sophomore, and second-team as a freshman.

Kennesaw State Volleyball gave UTEP all it could handle in the first three sets, and nearly became just the sixth team to win at least two sets over the Miners this year, but came up just short in a pivotal set three as the Owls fell 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-10) to the Miners in the regular season finale for both teams on Saturday afternoon. KSU finishes the regular season 13-16, but 10-8 in conference action to earn a fourth-place finish.

Kennesaw State started out strong but couldn't keep up the momentum after the first set, as the Owls' four-match win streak was snapped in a 3-1 (23-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-21) setback to Middle Tennessee in CUSA volleyball action on Saturday from the Convocation Center. The Owls dropped to 10-6 in league play, and 13-14 overall. The Owls finished with a .293 hitting percentage in the first set, but were under .200 in the next three sets, losing all four.

Big nights from Manu Johnsen, Olivia Burrage and Caroline Chastang paced Kennesaw State to its fourth straight win as the Owls topped Middle Tennessee 3-1 (24-26, 25-22, 25-17, 25-21) on Friday night in Conference USA volleyball action from the Convocation Center. The Owls held onto sole possession of third place in the conference at 10-5, and stand at 13-13 overall after collecting their ninth win in their past 11 games.

A trio of KSU players picked up weekly honors Monday as Conference USA announced its Volleyball Players of the Week. Manu Johnsen is the Offensive POW, while Kourtney Brown and Kaeley Walz were named the CO-Setters of the Week. This is the first CUSA weekly honor for all three, while it's the third all-time career weekly honor for Brown and Johnsen after a pair of weekly accolades each from the Atlantic Sun during the 2023 season.

KSU moved into sole possession of third place thanks to a second straight road sweep Saturday, a 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 29-27) victory at Louisiana Tech from the Thomas Assembly Center. The Owls are 9-5 in their first year in Conference USA, and are a game ahead of New Mexico State and Sam Houston, both tied 4th at 8-6. Olivia Burrage continued her strong run as of late, as she led all players with 14 kills while hitting .571 (14K-2E-21TA) from the floor. She also added three blocks and a dig in the win.
