ITA Southeast Regionals Postponed
Due to the impending landfall of Hurricane Milton, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has postponed the ITA Southeast Regionals to Oct. 17-22 for the safety of all schools involved. Georgia Tech will welcome 18 schools to the Ken Byers Tennis Complex next week. The ITA Southeast Regionals is an automatic qualifier to NCAA Individual Championships in November. The schedule, including draws and match times, will be announced next week.

Five members of the KSU women's tennis team competed at the Mercer Gridiron Classic on Friday through Sunday. In singles play, Ema Baraniakova guided the Owls going 4-0 and winning the women's A1 East Draw. She won all four of her matches in straight sets over players from Georgia Southern, Georgia Sate and Florida Southern. She defeated Evelyn Warkentin of Georgia Southern 6-4, 6-2 .

on Deck for Owls
Women's tennis travels to Statesboro, Ga. to compete in the Georgia Southern Fall Shootout this weekend. The team is coming off a strong appearance in the Stetson Invite. Match play is set to begin Friday and conclude on Sunday. Terezia Baraniakova, Laura Nadaska, Sofia Madrid, Izabelle Persson, Ema Baraniakova and Sophia Unger will compete for KSU in singles and doubles.

Five members of the Kennesaw State women's tennis team competed in the Stetson Invite on Friday and Saturday. The Owls competed in doubles and singles matches against players from Stetson, Louisiana and Chattanooga. The Owls were led in singles action by Ema Baraniakova and Sophia Unger who both finished 2-0. Baraniakova had wins of 6-2, 6-2. Unger won by scores of 6-1, 2-6, 10-7 and 6-0, 6-4.

Conference USA welcomes KSU as the league’s 10th member with Monday marking their official start in the conference. The Owls compete in 18 sports, 17 of which will compete in CUSA. Only women's lacrosse will remain in the ASUN. >br>“This is a monumental day for Kennesaw State, and we are proud to be members of Conference USA,” said Director of Athletics Milton Overton.
