The Kennesaw State softball team is ready to kick up the dust at Bailey Park as their fall ball season starts next month. The Owls will play in Kennesaw every Friday for six weeks straight, starting on Friday, Sept. 27 against Gordon State. All six games will be held at Bailey Park. KSU, who is led by head coach Tripp MacKay entering his seventh season, will announce their full 2025 season later this fall.

Conference USA welcomes KSU as the league’s 10th member with Monday marking their official start in the conference. The Owls compete in 18 sports, 17 of which will compete in CUSA. Only women's lacrosse will remain in the ASUN. “This is a monumental day for Kennesaw State, and we are proud to be members of Conference USA,” said Dir. of Athletics Milton Overton.

Kennesaw State (16-37) could not hinder the early burst from FGCU (33-19) as the Eagles took Saturday's game 5-0 to conclude the regular season. The Owls will wait to see if they did enough to make it into the ASUN Single Elimination round as they sit tied for eighth with Austin Peay at 8-16. These teams did not face each other this season.

Kennesaw State (14-36) couldn't dig out of a four-run hole as Central Arkansas (23-24) earned the series sweep ending game three with a 5-1 final Sunday. The afternoon began with recognition given to the Owl seniors with Kiera Cooper being highlighted as the lone true senior. Melanie Bennett, Lindsey Kyte and Laura Bishop were also honored as graduate students.

Ava Guzowski's four RBI performance wasn't enough for the Owls (14-33) to stop the offensive surge from Georgia Tech (29-20) Wednesday n Atlanta. Guzowski yanked the first pitch she saw over the fence in left center for a solo bomb. The final home weekend begins April 27 versus Central Arkansas with doubleheader action taking place Saturday.
